When one of Artisan Mind’s generous donors shared with Good Day Sacramento the impactful work Tiffany Ramirez and her team are doing to enrich the lives of individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia, the show responded within the hour.
They sent Good Day Sacramento’s star news personality Sade Brown and cameraman Dwayne to the home of Dave and Peggy Fulkerson to talk to Tiffany about Artisan Mind’s art programs serving as a therapeutic lifeline for those navigating life with memory loss – offering comfort, dignity, and moments of enriched engagement.
During the interview, they showcased powerful and personal artwork created by Artisan Mind clients, each piece a testament to their spirit and creativity.
Sade and Tiffany shared about the interpretation of the same artwork by various artists who have the freedom to express themselves however they wish during the enrichment sessions.
Tiffany shared that some clients, who typically struggle with apathy, anxiety or have difficulty expressing themselves, become noticeably more articulate, insightful, and joyfully engaged in conversation while painting.
Sade was both thoughtful and professional, a real treasure to work with.
“We are excited that Good Day Sacramento shared our mission, letting everyone know there is hope and dignity for those living with cognitive decline to continue living purposeful lives,” Tiffany stated.
